Our Favorite Baby Clothes

cooper

Gap Statement Bodysuit - new capri blue / Gap Marled Sweats - blue denim heather / Baby footed coverall in double stripe - coveralls -... / PAIGELAUREN baby - PAIGELAUREN BABY - CLASSIC COVERALL - rompers / PAIGELAUREN baby - PAIGELAUREN baby - CLASSIC RAGLAN COVERALL -...

Being home for 11 weeks with baby Cooper taught me a lot of things... but mostly that I love to online shop.  And what is more fun that shopping for cute baby boy clothes..... ummm Nothing!
I have to say all the shirts and tops are so cute... but the easiest thing for me are the one pieces with feet. This way, it is easy to change diapers, and no worrying about socks falling off.
I actually own all of these pieces and love them.

1. J Crew Baby has some of the cutest stuff. Shipping is always free on their baby stuff, and I got a few of these coveralls on sale for a very reasonable price.

2. Paige Lauren. My friend Renee got Cooper an adorable romper in mint green and ever since I've been hooked. This stuff isn't cheap, so I only purchased a couple for his 6 week photos. But you can sign up for their emails and they alert you to sales.

3. KicKee Pants. This is absolutely my favorite of all the items above.  I wish I could dress him in these footies all day everyday.  They are super soft, thanks to being made from Bamboo and so stretchy. They run a little small. Cooper is already wearing 3-6 months, but I feel like he will be wearing these for a long time. Seriously though you will not be disappointed with anything from this company I actually got my first footies from Sugar and Spice. But you can order online at KicKee Pants or Amazon.

4. Last but not least is Gap. Most of what Cooper owns and wears is from Gap. Everything is soft and so cozy, and stylish.  They have great sales, and you really just can't go wrong with anything from Gap.

When I found out I was having a boy, it was my mission to find cute boy clothing. And I feel like I have accomplished this mission.
Stay tuned for more cute boy clothing!

Weekend uniform by katie-mae-snider-leavell featuring gold sunglasses

Sorry I have been MIA lately, but there has been a lot going on around here!
News #1
My sister (Abby) is pregnant!
She is due in November and I am so excited to spoil that little nugget!

News #2
Jon and I are building a house!
We will move in in December and we are crazy busy trying to get things in order.

Anyway I have been so busy... with the new job, restraining myself from buying baby clothes too soon,  and dealing with all the details of building a house.
In the meantime I put together a little outfit that is going to get my through a lot of this summer! I purchased a maxi and I am finding that it is appropriate for all occasions.......
baby shower ...... check
shopping with friends.......check
dinner date with hubby...... check
If you haven't jumped on the Maxi dress train, I highly recommend it. It can be casual with some flats and a cute jean jacket and dressed up with some cute jewlery and some snazzy shoes!

Enjoy.

Posts to follow..... Abby's Baby Shower! Engagement shoot with Cousin (Jill)! Progress of the build!

Chambray Love

Chambray is popping up everywhere and I am planning my first purchase.
You know at first I was like umm..... Canadian Tuxedo? But now I'm beginning to love it. I think there are lots of options as far as what will go with a Chambray shirt... perhaps dark denim, a colored jean, or maybe even white denim. I love the idea of a chambray top with dark denim, pop of color bag, and a cute pair of flat sandals!
Below are 3 different chambray tops with 3 different price points! Enjoy!

Neon Love

So how is everyone feeling about Neon? I really want to take the plunge but it is intimidating.... So I'm thinking about taking it one step at a time and maybe getting a neon yellow clutch, or perhaps a neon pink shoe.  There is part of me that wants to Dive In and go all out neon! But there is this fear of looking like a clown! I'd love to hear feed back on how you all feel about Neon! How are you going to incorporate into your wardrobe this season?

New Job = New Outfits

Monday is the first day of my new job and I am so excited! I'm most excited for the opportunity to make some new outfits! My dress code for the new job is black, white and or ivory. Black and white is so simple, classic and timeless... so I couldn't be happier with that. But the fun part will be all the accessorizing!  I'm a firm believer that accessorizing can make or break an outfit. With the Black and White as a backdrop.... skies the limit. But I'm sticking to 2 ideas.... Neutral & Pops of Color. For neutrals I'm thinking... gold, blacks, and metallic. And for Pops of colors I'm thinking Fuschia and Turquoise!

Of the moment..

So I don't know if you have noticed, but it seems the fashion trend of the moment is colored jeans.  And I am thinking I really need to try out this trend.  I was a bit afraid of it to begin with... but now I'm feeling like anyone can pull it off.  So... I found this amazing website where you can create these look books ... and man it is so much fun. Sort of addicting really.  If you guys like these I am happy to post more... (there is probably going to be one later involving my new dress code for my new job!)
So anyway.. I created 3 ways to rock the colored jean... also I tried to find pieces all under $100. I am sure you can create these looks for much less too.
